The pool is the centre of the property, open every day from 9am to 6pm: sunbeds in the shade of the pines, and the valley in front of you.

The pool

The pool sits on the flattest shelf of the land, with old pines standing over it on three sides.

Come for the day for $20 a person, or swim free when you stay in a bungalow. Either way, there is almost always a free sunbed and you can swim a proper length without meeting anybody.

Sunbeds are spread along the deck rather than lined up in rows, so nobody is lying at somebody else's feet, and there are low tables between them for books and everything else that accumulates over a day.

The pool closes at six. By then the light is dropping behind the ridge, and if you are staying the night, your terrace is the best place on the property to watch it go.
