Privacy Policy

Pinea Resort ("Pinea", "we", "us") runs this website and the resort in Beit Mery, Mount Lebanon. This policy explains what we learn about you when you visit the site, request a reservation or send us a message, and what we do with it.

We collect very little. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

• When you request a reservation: your name, phone number, WhatsApp number if it's different, email address, your dates, the number of guests, your preferred bungalow and anything you write under special requests.
• When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
• When you reach us on WhatsApp, by phone, or on Instagram or Facebook: whatever you choose to share in that conversation.
• When you browse the site: our hosting provider automatically records technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, as part of normal server logs.

• To reply to you, check availability, and confirm and manage your booking.
• To look after you during your stay, including any requests you've made.
• To keep the website secure and working, and to filter out spam.
• To keep the records we need for accounting and legal purposes.

We won't send you marketing messages unless you've asked us to.

Only what's needed, and only with the services that help us run the site and handle bookings:

• Our website host, Vercel, which serves the site and processes the forms.
• The email and database services we use to receive and store reservation requests and messages.
• WhatsApp, when you choose to contact us there. That conversation is also covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
• The payment service you pay through (Whish, OMT, BOB Finance), under that service's own terms.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We never sell your personal information.

The Pinea website doesn't set any analytics or advertising cookies of its own.

Some pages include a Google Maps embed so you can find us. When it loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. Links to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and partner websites take you to services with their own policies.

We keep reservation details for as long as we need them to handle your stay and to meet our accounting and legal obligations. Contact messages are kept for as long as it takes to deal with them and any follow-up. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period and then deleted automatically.

Everything sent through the forms is encrypted in transit, and only the people at Pinea who need it to look after your booking can see it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what information we hold about you,
• correct anything that's wrong,
• delete your information, unless we're required to keep it by law, or
• stop using it for a particular purpose.

Send your request on WhatsApp or through the contact page. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on it. We handle personal data in line with Lebanese law, including Law No. 81 of 2018 on electronic transactions and personal data. If you're visiting from abroad, you may have further rights under the law where you live.

The website and our reservation forms are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us their details, tell us and we'll delete them.

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top of it.
